My wife had stayed here over a year ago (Room 122) and found it very noisy - so we asked for a quieter room this time. This time we were given room 142, which was at the far end by the big green space behind the hotel. But it was right next to a door that people used to go outside - so we heard it opening and closing a lot. I do not believe that there is a quiet room in this hotel as the walls are just too thin. We could hear everything in the room next to us and across the hall from us. EVERYTHING!!!! The bathroom was tiny but very well appointed. The breakfast is quite nice. The prices are pretty good but you will need earplugs if you are not a heavy sleeper - I definitely needed them. We would stay there again but only if we had no other choice.

Great location, clean. Places a few snacks and drinks for use, which was a nice touch. Easy check-in and out. Gift certificate to leather store was also a nice touch that we did use.

This 1860 Heritage building features a European-style pub, a vintage gift shop and elegant guest rooms. Merrickville Blockhouse National Historic Site is 230 feet away.

The room was small, but just fine for what we needed. Stairs could be an issue. Location was perfect to shops and downtown. The restaurant food was excellent, very expensive , beer prices stupid expensive, not necessary. Food was also high, a $28 hamburger, $12. bowl of soup. The Goose & Gridiron pub, down the street, where we had lunch, was good food and much more reasonably priced
