Gem of Canada. Absolutely recommended place to go - especially if you have not been to Europe, or have been and missing it.
Old town is definitely a must for a walk and eat-outs (Aux Anciens Canadiens, Restaurant Sagamite), plus the park Plains of Abraham.

We took various tours and they were all wonderful.
We took various tours and they were all wonderful. The people are friendly and every meal we had was amazing. The topography took some getting used to, but it made for beautiful views. The Alphonse restaurant is so good we went three times. The night-time ghost tour was fun and the tour to Montmorency Falls, etc., was a highlight. Sadly, the tours of the Morrin Centre weren’t available the days we were there, but the library is worth the cost of a day ticket (especially for fans of murder mysteries)!

Lots to explore people friendly and patient with us fools who did not continue our French after college. Food and servers very good-you won’t leave hungry. Very walkable felt safe in areas around the hotel. Lots of smiling faces. Be kind to your servers and tip as though you are at home. The exchange rate is not equal and it doesn’t hurt to e a little more generous. It is really being kind to our northern neighbors.

Quebec is the most beautiful city in North America, in my opinion. The older part is compact, and pedestrian-friendly. I suggest planning to park your vehicle on arrival, and walk! I was pleased to see that Quebec has improved the riverside expressway connecting the bridges over the St. Lawrence to downtown, and has added miles of riverside parks, bikeways, bus transit stations, and public artwork along the way. My only disappointment is that the Museum of Fine Arts has been largely closed for renovation of the main galleries.

Old Quebec is amazing to drive around.
Old Quebec is amazing to drive around. Good restaurant where I had breakfast- Le Casse-Crepe Breton. Such a good restaurant. Montmorency fall is the one to must go in summertime. Its lot of walks but nature around keeps engaging. Plains of Abraham is kind a park to enjoy in summer. Other than that, there are lot of old monuments and buildings to sight.
Best time to visit Quebec is definitely summer.
I do enjoy staying at this hotel. Though the room size is small, it's suitable for solo-trip. The kitchen is large enough for you to take a coffee and have a free breakfast with eggs and pancakes. The staff is nice and helpful. The room is clean and quiet. Another biggest advantage is it closes to the old town, you just need to walk 5 minutes to get to every place you want! I really recommend this hotel if you are travelling alone and not really mind of the limited room space.
Bernard is a welcoming host! The room was big and clean, the breakfast was great, it's a rather quiet neighborhood. The location is great to explore Québec City; while it's not in the old town, the old town is reachable by foot, and it's close to the Grand Théâtre de Québec, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, the Plaines d'Abraham. Early check-in was possible in our case - merci encore, Bernard! If we go back to Québec, we'd definitely stay here again!
Fabulous modern boutique style hotel in an excellent location very close to main area of Old Town Quebec within easy reach of numerous restaurants and the wide selection of independent shops, as well as being a short distance from the cruise terminals. Excellent complimentary breakfast included, rooms well appointed and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel if you are visiting Quebec.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel! Excellent location in the Old Town, wonderful suite with great view of the OldTown, immaculate, very good bed, kitchen "in a cupboard" is amazingly efficient, very friendly and helpful staff, super helpful concierge, funky decor of hotel is wonderful, public areas are beautiful and creative and innovative. Heating and air conditioning system works very well in the suite.
This is a nice cosy hotel in a central location within Old Quebec City. The hotel staff are all really helpful, and can speak French and English depending on what you prefer.
The hotel was well kept and the rooms were all clean, including the detached bathroom. I also liked the vibe and decor of this facility.
Great location, close to Parliament and gates to Old Town. You could spot it from anywhere so easy to orientate yourself.
Spacious room, comfortable beds.
Nice pool.
Could self park in Indigo car park under hotel and conference centre. You get one exit per night of stay. Easily accessed by lift from hotel.
Hotel 71 in Old Quebec City is a wonderful hotel. It is very clean, the room was large, with a fantastic view of the city and river. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking in and around Old Quebec City, it is within easy walking distance of all the best sites.
Amazing heritage hotel. It's very well maintained and the rooms are exactly as per the photos. The location is a very good one right in Old Quebec and all the prettiest tourist spots are at walking distance. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby at walking radius. The people are really good.
Very good location, one does have to walk 3 blocks for parking, but that is to be expected in Old Québec. There are a lot of stairs, our room was smaller than most hotel rooms, and the bathroom was shared, again these things are to be expected when the building is over 200 years old!
The hotel is in a truly excellent location for walking to everything in Old Quebec, and the rooms are very clean and comfortably furnished. In particular, the bed and shower are great. There are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We would stay here again!
We loved the coyness of the place, Francois & Martin were exceptional individual, the proximity to many restaurants and the old town was pleasant, the Breakfasts were delightful, much better in my opinion than a large impersonal hotel.
Very decent hotel. Good size room and bed. There are some shady surroundings, but we were comfortable to walk around the hotel. I would say it is a good location overall, we were able to walk back to hotel from old town.
Hotel is for sure charming, breakfast was decent, and location is obviously great. Just a short walk to old town or restaurants. The way to old town is also very pretty specially at night.
The loft was centrally located in Old Quebec. Very clean and well designed for a family of 4. Convenient parking across the street in the hotel parking lot.
The history of the hotel, location central to everything in Old Town...at your doorstep, the staff was most hospitable and the rooms were well appointed!
