The location was amazing. The cottage has a dock where you can sit and go in the pristine clear water river, and a big lawn where you could play volleyball, badminton, frisbee or just run around with the kids.
Located in the Haliburton Highlands, this historic and year-round hotel offers snowmobile trails 5 minutes away. It includes a large car park, ideal for ATVs and snowmobiles.
Great lake views. Restaurant on site but have to make reservation for breakfast. Good bed. Lots of water sports equipment on site. Stayed in king room in lodge. Room very very small. Holes in window screen stuffed with tissue so bugs got in... Whole property not good for even mild mobility issues. No handicap parking. Not great water pressure. No counter space in bathroom. Not enough towels. Wifi doesn't t really work. Be careful driving deer around even at parking lot entrance...good breakfast at Minden's 50 Diner. The Dominion Hotel in Minden good.

Haliburton is a small town with all the amenities you need when visiting the area. There is a Tim Horton's near the entrance of the city. There is a couple of supermarkets and a Shoppers Drugmart.

The scenery is lovely especially in the fall.
The scenery is lovely especially in the fall. We were there Oct. 5,6,7th of 2021and the fall colours were fabulous.
In the town of Haliburton there were some interesting shops, at least 3 art galleries, a farmer's market on Tuesdays from 9 to 12 beside a good-sized parking lot that had free parking, washrooms that were very clean and open until 4 p.m. beside the parking lot. We really enjoyed the Haliburton Forest Sculpture Park on the grounds of the Haliburton School of Arts but it was a little hard finding it - poor signage - used my cell phone to figure out how to get there. There's an old train station beside the parking lot with an art gallery and in it you could get a map of the town. We didn't much care for the restaurants there.

Haliburton has become one of our all time favourite places...
Haliburton has become one of our all time favourite places to holiday. Bonnie View Inn is an excellent resort to stay in with a gorgeous beach
on the lakefront. The lakes in Haliburton are pristine and many connect to one another so if you are a boater you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and a great ride. Downtown Haliburton is amazing. There are two drugstores on the main drag in Haliburton - Shoppers and Rexall. The BEST bookstore is there as well - Master's Book Store!!! I cannot recommend it highly enough. There are plenty of little shops as well to roam in and out of. Haliburton also has an Independent Grocery Store and Foodland. They have a library in Haliburton village as well as a small museum.
The staff at Bonnie View were friendly and efficient. They couldn't do enough for you. We had a car accident and Bonnie View allowed us to stay for one more night - until the car was repaired. They offered to take us to Minden from Haliburton as soon as we needed them and offered any additional services. We are totally impressed. The staff is like family - just wonderful, warm and caring people.
This Motel has been at edge of Haliburton for at least 60 years, I've stayed before in the 80's. Rooms have been updated- light has USB outlets, new bathroom, flooring, windows. Windows could use better, wider, curtains for privacy. TV options were good. Way to expensive, however seems to be hotel industry trying to recoup from Covid. Great location to walk into town, stroll the lakefront, and park.
Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely in the Inn.
The patio was great, right by the water and food and drink was good and affordable.
So happy to have this little gem in the Haliburton Highlands.
All the staff was fabulous which I believe comes from the owners Andrea and Ryan.
Such a pretty location and even gorgeous sunsets.
Property is currently being refurbished and the rooms are a combination of old and new. However, other than in other motels you can really see and feel that the owners take care of the place. Owner was also very accommodating with respect to our request for a different room!
Cozy, very clean rooms with extra blankets/pillows already in the room. Great view of lake from our room. Just down the road from Tim Hortons so was ideal for quick breakfast/coffee. Harsha at the front office was wonderful and very welcoming. We will be back. Thanks again.
The location is facing Head lake, Haliburton Village. Near to public boat launch.
It is really a 3-star standard with microwave oven, fridge, hair dryer, TV
The room is big, clean with two double beds. Quiet at night. Ower is happy to let us check -in early
We had a lovely stay at 23maple; Robert was the best host and couldn't have been more accommodating, the bed was comfy and the property was at a great spot in town, will deffo come back if I'm in Haliburton again
Unforgettable vacation! Superior customer service! The best of Haliburton! Perfect location! Patio is a pearl of the lake! Hardly recommend! Definitely we will be back.
