A special accommodation in a great location, close to the city center and the train station. The hosts were amazing, they keep the boat in an excellent condition and they try hard to serve any visitors' need. Very nice breakfast also.

Set on the Ghent-Bruges Canal within a 10-minute walk from historic Bruges, Market Square and the Belfry, Barge Johanna B&B offers air-conditioned cabins on a boat. Company info

After a hectic life in ICT and physical education, Kris and Patsie decided to change course and offer relaxing barge cruises in Belgium and France on their live-abord hotelship Johanna in summer. During winter season, the rooms are available for B&B in Bruges. We both love meeting new people and sharing information, having a pleasant chat or just see that our guests are happy.

Neighborhood info

Being moored on the canal just outside the city center of Bruges, this is one of the most quiet areas to stay. In the morning you may be woken by quacking ducks swimming beneath the portholes. Apart from the historic city of Bruges at walking distance from the schip, Damme and Sluis are at cycling distance (6 and 15km) along the canal. Even the Belgian coast is worth a visit, with Ostend at 25km, or the Belle Epoque village of De Haan and the mondaine city of Knokke with its many modern art galleries, golf course and "The Zwin" nature reserve.
