What a great (& affordable!) option near Aruba’s best beaches. We stayed here a week, had a wonderful time, and plan to stay here again.
The location is an 8-minute drive to Eagle and Palm Beaches, or a 15-minute drive to Arashi Beach farther north (rental car essential)… Aruba is so easy to drive and navigate. And if you prefer to avoid the sand, the charming pool is a great option. Our 7-year old loved it, though most of the time we were the only ones using it.
The outdoor dining area is lovely, with plenty of tables and benches, though some of the wood chairs aren’t very comfortable; others have cushions. The cafe is great, with a basic menu and plenty of caffeinated options. Service isn’t rushed so feel free to linger.
Onsite parking is convenient and beach towels are provided and changed on cleaning days (not daily; and by the way the cleaning lady is just delightful).
The room interiors are clean though basic. Our room (#8) had two queen beds, firm and very comfortable. There wasn’t too much sunlight - just a small kitchen window and a medium-sized window facing the pool area. We used the air conditioning only half the time as the place was naturally cool. The bathroom was modern and clean. Having a stove was essential, as it allowed us to prepare breakfast before leaving and cook dinner at the end of the day; as you probably know, food in Aruba is not cheap.
And the hotel is very peaceful. There was one clueless idiot who felt it was necessary to slam some doors at 3am one night - hopefully he never comes back. Otherwise it was quiet.
It was also helps to manage expectations. RH isn’t rustic but modern, basic by many standards but likely upscale by many island standards at this price. If you are looking for “luxury”, you’ll need to spend quadruple the amount (or easily more at some of the high end $$$ hotels & villas).
There is also a barbecue area out back that needs to be reserved at the front desk but we didn’t use it this time around.
This Aruba hotel features rooms with microwaves and refrigerators. The hotel is one miles from the Queen Beatrix International Airport and offers an outdoor pool and free WiFi in all areas.

Condo was spacious & equipped so that you can cook food if you want. Great deck with furniture to utilize. Great little private (for guests only) deck with chairs, kayak, on the water looking at the Bay & Marina. Lots of parking. Great place to eat at the Marina called The Fish House. The owner was amazingly fast at responding to any question I had by text.
Welcome to the colorful and serene location of Mammaloe. This Bed & Breakfast is located in Santa Cruz, only 3.1 mi from Reina Beatrix International Airport.

Nice air conditioned area to cool off in and very central to town, not far to get into the hustle and bustle or to the beach

The architecture and atmosphere was amazing! The City has an great diversity! Beautiful beaches are close by. Most importantly, the people were very welcoming. Oranjestad promises an unforgettable Caribbean getaway.

Oranjestad has a few nice areas for visitors with restaurants, bars and shopping. The water is spectacular! It's easy to get around by taxi or bus. Aruba is very breezy and the sun is hot - so lots of high quality sunscreen is a necessity along with a secure hat. We enjoyed happy hour and small plates at Cuba's Cookin' in the Renaissance Marketplace - try the mojitos!

Most visitors are from the cruise ships, and spend a day here. We enjoyed & days of which 3 days were snorkeling on 3 different beaches (more and we would have been roasted by the sun). The town, and especially the museum is very interesting - very Dutch.
We didn't do much shopping, there didn't seem much (apart for Dutch food in the supermarket) that we couldn't have bought anywhere. Lots of kitchy souvenirs near the cruise terminal. If you like fresh fish, it is well worth taking the bus (or driving) to the "fish market" at Spanish Cove. It is just a couple of sheds on the waterfront where the fish are landed and sold by local small-scale fishermen, who will also clean and fillet for you.

I enjoyed staying right in Oranjestad because I had many options for dining out in the evening. I rented a car so I was able to go to either side of the island pretty easily from there. The Arubus station is right there so I think it would be fairly easy to take that up to Eagle beach if one didn't want to rent a car. I was in town for part of Carnival so it was fun to watch that also.
My photos are of Eagle Beach, Tres Trapi, and Baby Beach. Oranjestad restaurants: Pastechi House, Lucy's - mahi sandwich, West Deck - fish/shrimp, and Dutch Pancake House - Dutch Pancake.

The island is very easy to navigate by auto. Many choices for food and shopping at the super market to grill out is a good way to save money for nights you don't desire to eat out. Sunsets are beautiful most every evening. Go to Boca Catalina snorkeling to see the Sea Turtles. If you want to feel young and vibrant go to Moomba Beach Club on Sunday evening.

careful with the taxi drivers - they dont pay attention to get you to the right destination!
also - very disappointed in Zara at the renaissance shops - its a cruise port and hotel and they wouldn't allow you in with a small suitcase - shame on them
did have a very nice dinner at wilamena - highly recommend!
The staff are delightful - they made me feel incredibly welcome and safe as a solo traveller.
The room was lovely and clean upon arrival. I arrived early and was given a key to the hotel and access to all of its amenities ahead of my room.
They have guest books with fantastic information about the island.
The pool is gorgeous!
I also got to meet their new kitten, who provided lots of entertainment during my stay.
We were welcomed by our hosts upon arrival, Javier and Liz were always very friendly, helpful and easy to contact during our stay. They also provided many useful recommendations. Luna 39 is a well-equipped and spacious accommodation, beautifully located in a residential cul-de-sac, close to many sites (beaches, shops, restaurants, city centre, tourist attractions). I can highly recommend Luna 39!
Hendrik is a very kind and attentive host, it was a pleasure staying at his property. The apartment itself is cozy, equipped with absolutely anything one could possibly need, and conveniently located close to the city. As I'm not a fan of fancy hotels, touristy stuff and lying on the beach all day, this place was the perfect option for me.
More positive aspects are the balcony in the front of the room (with a great view of the sea where they served us breakfast) and the cost-benefit considering the overpriced hotels at Palm Beach and Eagle Beach (in case you rent a car for visiting more parts of the island).
The staff is very friendly and we loved them all.
The apartment is just 5 minutes from the city center of Oranjestad where the main bus terminal and the harbor are.
The host is very friendly and nice. The accommodation is good value for money. There are also some restaurants and shops in the nearby.
The apartment was clean and comfortable.
Quite and peaceful hotel, spacious and sparkling clean room, friendly and very helpful personnel, and delicious meals served in the hotel café. My husband and I had a wonderful time here. We'll be looking forward to our next trip.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Aruba.
Central location in Oranjestad. Great views of the harbor and all the boats coming and going . Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, not to mention the lobby restaurant/bar with happy hour 5-7. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. A great stay if you want to explore !
Loved the style, the inner garden was very cute, the owner did everything possible to help us have the best time, and rooms were quite spacious. The hotel was also providing people with chairs snorkels and shuttle service to the beach in the morning free of charge.
It is adorable throughout the hotel. The renovations they have done did the place wonders. Everyone was so nice, loved the roof seating area and the small cafe within the place. Highly recommend this as a place to stay!
The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. The hotel was super clean. There was an issue with our room and the front desk accommodated us with no issues.
Perfect hotel /room a for a first one night stay after flying from Europe . Very good bed and super clean room. Great bathroom. Good location in Oranjestadt
Maurice was great and responsive. The property was spacious and clean. The pool was a nice addition. Convenience location to Oranjestad and Eagle beach.
Location is about 20 min walk from the centrum of Oranjestad and about 7 min to the beach.
Close to the airport but a quiet location.
Nice little pool.
