The facilities are very charming–I stayed in a dorm room in the main lodge, which felt safe and homey in a rugged way, but there were also several other more unique options including pods and tent cabins. The location is also hard to beat–it's incredibly picturesque, accessible by public transportation, and major attractions like Pen y Fan are accessible by foot. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and there were so many resources for travelers to use to plan their trips. Free parking was also a bonus! My one regret is that I couldn't stay longer!
