The place is gorgeous, really authentic. It is a very social place. People feel comfy and exchange ! There is a lot of thing at disposal, kitchen, washing machine, tea, coffee for free. The host of the hotel is awesome. He helped me booking a night in another guesthouse nearby because every hotel or guesthouse were full this day. He was friendly and recommended me lot of places to eat and have fun in Matsumoto ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A lovely traditional onsen/ryokan in a town not far from Matsumoto City. The room and hotel was very clean and quiet, and it was only minutes away from the bus stop to Matsumoto City. There were hiking trails up the hill, and the onsen temperature was perfect for relaxing. The staff were very kind and caring.

Everything was just great! The owner Brian was so friendly, he informed us about all the tings we can do in Matsumoto itself and about different day or half-day Trips we can do from Matsumoto. He also has a written version where you can read about the trips in detail. It's possible to use the kitchen and cook for yourself. We even got a heater, as it was pretty cold in the night. And the location is also really good, as it is just a 10 min walk to the train station and to the Matsumoto Castle it's also only 15 min to walk. Unfortunately we already booked the nightbus to travel to the next stop. Otherwise we would have loved to stay longer!
