Set just 3.8 km from Gregory Lake, Ruchi House provides accommodation in Nuwara Eliya with access to barbecue facilities, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Very nice and friendly owners! We went on a tour to Horton Plains, everything was perfect. The room is big, the breakfast is very tasty. We also were picked up and dropped off at the railway station in Nanu Oya, very hassle free for us.

If you’re travelling to Nanuoya, I highly recommend Ansi Villa. The family were so warm and welcoming, providing tea and cake on arrival, and cooking the BEST Sri Lankan breakfast (which was included). The room was perfect - clean with a very comfortable bed and excellent Wi-Fi. The location is fantastic. Only a 10 minute walk to the train station. The best hospitality and great value for money.

Situated just 3.1 km from Gregory Lake, Vibe way (Hostel & Market farm) provides accommodation in Nuwara Eliya with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to organize transports for us when needed with very reasonable prices. They have a hotline were you can send messages if you want anything or need any help. And special thanks to Husham, it was the new year so we couldn’t exchange money, so he lent us some cash as we didn’t have enough on us going out.

Serendipity Lake Artistic Bungalow by Heidis Home is an artist paradise. Everything in the building was hand-painted by the host with loads of love and passion put into it. You feel it in every piece of furniture, every little detail. It felt I was living a fairytale <3. The room was spacious with a lovely view over Gregory Lake and bed very comfortable. One of the best sleeps i had on the island. The location is just at the edge of Gregory Lake, and a 30-40 min walk to the city. The host was 10/10, explained about the area, how to get around and suggested entertainment events.

Well located in Adams Peak, Water Side Residence provides a continental breakfast and free WiFi. This guest house offers free private parking and room service. We had an amazing stay at Water Side. First of all the location is perfect for Adam’s Peak hike. The house itself is surrounded by beautiful nature. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They helped us with a transfer although we arrived late at the station and cooked dinner for us. We also took a small tour per their recommendation to waterfall and tea plantations and it was really nice, not so many people as in other locations and beautiful scenery.

Such a lovely host family, beautiful view, clean room and walking distance to the waterfall. Great breakfast and we could also order dinner online from the city centre to the house which was great!
