Location was also great, the town is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and very close to Ainokura Village (UNESCO world heritage)!

Guesthouse Iwase ligger i Toyama, 2,2 km fra Toyama-kojo og 14 km fra Toyama Familiepark. The host was really kind, he made conversation with me even though I speak little japanese and recommended a few spots around the area to visit. Both the house and the share rooms were more spacious than I expected, and I also got a couple of free tram tickets with my stay. Great experience.

Keep in mind, this is a countryside Guesthouse, so the location is not easily accessible by train or bus. You can drive to Johana Translation and take a long walk or taxi but a car is probably a must. Ignoring that, this accommodation was amazing. It's an old style Japanese Guesthouse renovated to be extremely comfortable even for people that don't like older houses. It is almost completely renovated and the host really took a lot of effort to decorate the rooms. There is a great kitchen and living room options available. The dorm beds on the third floor are big compared to other hostels but the stairs a little steep and narrow. The first floor is offers bigger rooms for people and an area for children to play (as of October 2023). Outside the house is space for at leat 5-6 cars for parking. By foot you can go to a park, an incredible child playground and a lake. There are probably only one or two options for outside dining by foot, but with car shops, laundry, restaurants are available within 10 minutes.

The farm house experience was simply great! The hosts (husband and wife) were the most friendly and welcoming ever and they made everyone feel comfortable. The bed (futon) was comfortable and everything was very clean. The food was delicious and felt fresh (I mean, I saw the husband grilling our fresh fish, so I know it's fresh). Absolutely recommended!

The place is really great, the combination of old japanese home vibe and futuristic facilities. We got free delicious handmade ice-cream. Love the yogibo❤️

The tablewares were gorgeous that was my dream tableware and cabinets. All necessities are in place. The foot massager and private parking lot just outside the house were bonuses. The kitchen was well equipped, just missing a chopping knife. The host was nice and helpful. The laundry machine and other home facilities worked perfectly. The place is so clean. Everything feels like cleaned right before we arrived. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We had three sweet comfy nights.
