Yoshiko and David were amazing hosts and you simply cannot put a price on that view of the river! The dinner that Yoshiko prepared for us was among the best food we had our entire trip, and we had a lot of fantastic food, so that is saying something. If your travels take you to Shikoku, consider staying with them, you will not regret it!

The owner is one of the nicest and warmest people I have met. The bed was even nicer than that of a much more expensive ryokan. The train ride to the guesthouse was scenic, the location of the accommodation is perfect, the eateries nearby are all good. The place itself was spotless with a really nice shower room. Everything was perfect. I can't recommend it enough.

Located in the mountains surrounded by nature, Guesthouse En is located in Ochi at an elevation od 400 metres. The property features a garden and offers luggage storage space. This guesthouse is worth the climb: located in a beautiful mountainous forest, the sounds of cities and cars are replaced by nature and animals. Takao-san is a wonderful host: he came to our car in the pouring rain with spare umbrellas and upgraded us to the largest room as we were the only guests that night. His family was also very welcoming and sweet. Everything was clean, combining the convivial guesthouse atmosphere to the traditional ryokan room architecture.

Located a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute bus ride from JR Kochi Station north exit, Katsuo Guest House offers Japanese-style dormitory rooms with air conditioning. 한마디로 완벽하다 Katsuo guest house~ 아리가또 사장님 내외의 친절은 고치여행 즐거움의 큰 한가지~^^

We enjoyed the paper making experience, the place and property. Dinner is not provided but you can bring your own food/meat to BBQ in the gorgeous outdoor kitchen. This is a great, affordable place to stop along the shikoku pilgrimage route. I stayed 2 nights. The nights before and after temple 35, walking without a bag for that day was so nice and gave my legs a mild break with plenty of time to do laundry, clean, and reorganize my gear. Since it's so affordable it makes a great place for a rest day. Walking distance to a great grocery store and conbinis.
