Everything was great 😊 Dario and the rest of the staff were so friendly and accommodating making us feel very welcome! We booked our canyoning tour through the hostel which was really easy and a great trip. The hostel itself was very clean, probably one of the cleanest kitchens we've used in our 6 month trip in South America. The room was also very clean/comfy with a fan. The location was great and very central close to supermarket, main plaza and restaurants.

The owners run a really clean guesthouse helped by friendly staff. The rooms have a lot of storage to organize your stuff. Breakfast is really good and super affordable and there are many cold beverages for sale at unbeatable prices!

My partner and I stayed at here while we explored San Gil and it was fantastic - not only are the facilities clean and well-run but the staff are absolutely lovely. Our hostess Silvia taught us how to make arepas for the first time and we were always getting for recommendations on where to go next from the staff. There is a lot of effort put into making this hostel feel like a community space and to top it all off the beds are the most comfortable I’ve encountered in a hostel!

Johana and her family are great hosts and really go out of their way to help you. The place is very well maintained, beds are comfortable, there's warm water and they had excellen laundry service. Kitchen is well equipped and it's also super close to the best restaurants in town

We booked cos of the incredible reviews and weren’t disappointed. Felipe and Jane are amazing hosts, kind, funny and sociable. Felt like family, with plenty of room to socialise. The private room was huge, with a big bathroom and warm shower. Kitchen was well equipped but after tasting the home cooked meals you might not use it! Located out of town with sunset views over San Gil. Great for hiking. You can walk and then bus to town, or Jane and Felipe will sort out economical transport if required. You can book tours at the hostel too.

Objekat SANTANDER ALEMAN HOSTEL je smešten u gradu San Hil, na 41 km od znamenitosti Chicamocha National Park, a ima vrt, terasu i pogled na grad. Everything! If we could give a higher rating, we would. The house was beautiful with a nice terrace on the top with view over the mountains. Our room was great too, with nice sheets, a good mattress and a big bathroom with hot water. But what made it into something special was the good care of our host Alicia. She was so helpful and accommodating and made us a super nice breakfast every morning. We cannot thank her enough! We were really sad to leave this lovely place. ❤️
