Sapevo che Urgench non è paragonabile a Bukhara o Khiva, ma...
Sapevo che Urgench non è paragonabile a Bukhara o Khiva, ma è cmq una città con ampie strade, pulita, fiorita, con molto verde. Offre una vasta scelta di locali ove mangiare o prendere un aperitivo, nonché pasticcerie con sala da thè. Ha cmq alcuni musei e moschee meritevoli di una visita. Un grande mercato/bazar non poteva ovviamente mancare. Se si ha un po' di tempo è interessante visitare Ulli Hovli un ex villaggio fortezza ora museo ed hotel ad una decina di km da Urgench. È un buon punto di partenza per visitare sia Khiva che le fortezze o raggiungere il lago d'Aral, per cui è programmabile una sosta di uno/due giorni.
