Excellent and quiet location away from the city crowd but close to excellent restaurants. The host was amazing, the breakfast was super and the house dogs super amazing. Needless to say, the rooms are super amazing, beds super comfy and washroom super clean. Plus it gets a balcony.

The house is in a quiet neighbourhood in the outskirts of Rennes and is decorated with a very nice mix of modern and ethnic pieces. Even though we only stayed one night our hosts made us really feel at home. Great continental breakfast with a view on the outside garden and pool.

The location is perfect if you are travelling by train, as you can walk there in 5-10 minutes. The host prepared for us a self baked bread and self made yogurt for breakfast. She was very flexible and arranged for an early check in as well as let us leave the bags at her property in the morning, so that we could have a walk in town before we took our train. We travelled with two children and got the whole attic to ouselves, with our own bathroom, which gave us a lot of privacy. The area was very calm and quiet and we enjoyed the personal touch which this location offered.

Hidden in a lovely esplanade of elegant houses, this comfortable, quiet and spotless retreat is 5 minutes walk from Gare Nord and 10 minutes walk from the lovely old centre of Rennes. Phillipe and Cecile are to be commended for their hospitality. And the view from the window into the pretty spring garden is delightful. Highly recommended and we would definitely return.

The hosts Marie & Alain was fantastic, They could not do enough for us... Castel Jolly was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Can not rate it high enough.
