Half-day Spice Tour

This half-day tour will give you a fascinating look at the diversity of spices and edible plants growing in the tropical climes of Zanzibar. Out in the countryside, you’ll walk through plantations of various spices like clove, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric, vanilla and nutmeg.

Beyond spices, you’ll see vegetation like the iodine plant, ylang-ylang, the lipstick tree, cocoa, cassava, coffee and more. You’ll also explore tropical fruits like jackfruit, pineapples, bananas and green coconut as well as more exotic varieties like durian, love apples, rambutun, soursop and starfruit.
