On this day tour, you'll explore the natural highlights surrounding Ponta Delgada. After a hotel pickup or meeting your guide, you'll first journey to the rim of Sete Cidades’ caldera. Here, you'll visit numerous viewpoints to see the volcano complex. Your guide can explain how the volcano's two lagoons form to create the Sete Cidades Lake. From the Vista do Rei viewpoint, you'll be able to view the crater's interior and its lakes.
After Sete Cidades, you'll stop for a lunch of Azorean cuisine at a local restaurant. You'll then continue to Picos and Lagoa do Fogo (Fago Lake) for excellent views of the surrounding landscape from the top of the volcano complex. To round out the tour, you'll have the chance to take a dip in a hot spring under a waterfall at Caldeira Velha.
