On this tour, you will explore the historical, cultural and traditional highlights of Almaty.
You will pass by Holy Ascension Cathedral, the city’s oldest standing cathedral, and the surrounding park where you will find the World War Two and Afghanistan War memorials. You will continue to the historical Zelenyi Bazaar (Green Bazaar) with its fresh produce, authentic Kazakh dishes, dried fruit and meat.
You will walk down Arbat Street, Almaty’s main shopping street, which is lined with artworks from local artists and craftspeople selling their creations. You will also wander through Panfilov street with its Soviet architecture and live street performers.
