Best location nearby the airport. Malahide is a very nice place, full of restaurants, local shops and you can enjoy a walk to the sea-side. The accommodation is provided with a large common kitchen and tables if you want to have your meal eaten there. All nice stuff new and tidy. Large comfortable room. Private car park

The hotel is ideally located in Sutton. 10 minutes from the Dart to Dublin City centre. Lovely walk along the promenade, wish i took my running gear! Hotel is lovely. Rooms could do with an update. However, given what the hospitality industry has gone through with Covid it’s good that’s is still servicing the community and I would definitely stay again. Facility’s good staff helpful and friendly.
Would stay again.

I like the crown plaza hotel thats where I stay coz this hotel is closed. So my rate 8s for the crown plaza hotel. The Hilton is closed they moved me there without notice at all.
Malahide is a cute village on the Irish Sea. It has a variety of restaurants, pubs, and shops. It's a very easy town to walk around. Public transportation to Dublin or nearby towns is readily available.

The village is quite pretty with many old houses. It is clean but in August quite busy. Traffic can be slow moving through the town. The beach was disappointing but Portmarnock beach a couple of miles south is very good. There are many restaurants which provide a variety of choice although there is a preponderance of Italian dishes. The views out to sea are good and walking around the town is interesting.

I'm not familiar with the area, trip was for a wedding with a couple of days added on. Transport was slow. Nowhere locally to leave a suitcase on departure day. The train station officer allowed us to leave it for a few hours.
We enjoyed a tour around Malahide Castle and a stroll around the gardens.
Lots of pubs if that's your thing. I don't drink.
Not knowing the area I am unlikely to visit there again. However, if you want a base for travel into town, it's fine. Travelling inland is tricky unless you travel by the Luas on the old line towards Sandyford.
We got taxis everywhere as the wedding was nearby, as were a couple of family visits. If going out, definitely plan your travel to reduce frustration. It is cheap though and taxis are not extortionate either, as fares strictly by the meter. Just book ahead if on a deadline :-)

The hotel expansion programme since my last visit is astonishing but it retains and has upgraded its regality without charging an extreemly high fee. Since it was too late to eat in the hotel we walked into the village and just scraped into a useful take away venue closing at 11 pm. Expectations that we could have had the food delivered to the hotel were unfounded but we enjoyed a late night drink to accompany the food on our return. This is a wonderful but not stuffy hotel with most agreable staff.

The following are merely suggestions.
Increased designated access ways for pedestrians to access the beach
and additional seating placed at regular intervals on the coastal walkway to Portmarnock.

Lovely village.walk along marina dog fouling obvious.
Lovely village.walk along marina dog fouling obvious. Spoils the whole image of area. Townhouse lane changed by covid.
Empty shops could be tidied and dressed. 3x shops Mark Cain etc brilliant and welcoming.
Best Irish breakfast cooked by the lovely Eithne...fresh fruit...yogurt..cereal..tea..coffee..lovely. Friendly couple with a huge plot with rooms to share their home. Eithne will look after your needs and Gerry will undoubtedly show you his bar and excellently kept and served Guinness. Like any Irish people they will talk to you for hours and give advice on where to visit. The rooms are nice and clean and warm. Short walk into town. Sauna would be good guys :)
The guest house is just ten minutes' walk from Malahide village and Malahide Castle. Plenty to do for the kids and bars in the evening for the adults. Malahide is about 30-40 minutes' drive or DART (light rail) from the Dublin city centre, so you get the best of both worlds.
The guest house itself was clean and warm with friendly helpful staff. A great choice for families.
beautiful situation overlooking the water in a lovely village. The hotel is about an 8-10 minute walk from the railway station and has plenty of car parking if you travel by car.
fantastic breakfast with something for everyone. You would need to be extremely fussy not to find something to your liking.
The staff go above and beyond. wonderful Irish hospitality.
Room was clean, comfy and a good size. Great location...lovely walks along the beach, into the town and within walking distance to Malahide Castle. Food in the bistro was excellent but breakfast was exceptional...a good variety of fresh fruits, breads, cereals and hot food.
Beautiful room - lovely décor, spacious, comfortable bed. Close proximity to Dublin Airport (10-15 mins drive) which was perfect for us as we were flying out next morning. Several eating places in Malahide village a short drive away. Highly recommend.
Lovely, comfortable ( great bed) all things catered for. Loved it. I will return. R was a great host. Thank you. I have told everyone! Short walk to Malahide centre and the Dart Malahide Castle beautiful and Avoca scones 😋😋
the location for Malahide Castle and Malahide centre is excellent and within walking distance of both.
The room was very quiet and large with nice bathroom, and plenty of towels. The breakfast was okay.
Comfortable, close to Malahide beach and a short walk to Malahide. Beautiful area and lovely stay at ByTheSea, the host was very welcoming and let me know if there was anything else I needed just ask.
Loved everything about it! Clean, friendly property manager, nice community spaces, private location and parking, convenient kitchen, quick and easy checkin and checkout, close 10 minute walk to town.
Great location. We love Malahide and visit 2X each year when flying home from Dublin. We have previously always stayed in Portmarknock and driven to Malahide. This might be our new favorite place.
the location, atmosphere and the rooms were “superior” super comfy. pay the extra euro for the superior room. bar and food was excellent walking distance to the beauty of Malahide.
Very friendly. Felt like we were staying with friends. This is a great place to stay for a few days before flying home. Malahide is a cool town with some good pubs and restaurants.
The lodging is no longer a "bed and breakfast" but our hosts supplied tea, coffee and snack bars and more. The lodging is within a few blocks of restaurants that served breakfast.
Very elegant place, the kitchen was very well equipped, close to a bus stop (30 mins to the city centre) and very nice park & castle near by (Malahide)
