Location is great, right in Getsemani but quiet at night. The little pool on the rooftop was great after sunset to play a bit with our 3yo son, otherwise there is no shade. Breakfast was delicious. Beds are very comfortable.

Colourful and historic, modern and colonial, local and touristic, Cartagena de Indias represents one of the liveliest Colombian beach resorts. Its character mixes cultures and peoples, including natives, Spanish, African and Arab. Its rich legacy granted its Old Town the recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
When the Spanish founded the city in 1533, the region had already been inhabited for thousands of years. It became an important port for the Spanish gold and a significant political centre. Echoes of those times can be seen throughout the historic centre, in the city walls, the San Felipe de Barajas Castle, and the colourful streets and colonial squares. Cartegena has so much culture and history. The food was fantastic! There is live music in every restaurant and bar. Traditional dancing can be found in the squares and you just need to tip. Just be aware of all the street hustlers, especially the rappers who will follow you. The old town comes alive after 8pm. Be prepared for the 90-100% humidity during the mid-day. It is best to site see early in the morning or evening and siesta or pool lounge during the mid day.

The "Old City" is beautiful and historic - and has excellent gelato! Unfortunately, no Dr Pepper...
The beaches are good, and provide a diversion (or a primary reason to go, if you are young) and a completely different atmosphere.

Lots to do if you work with local tourist agents.
Lots to do if you work with local tourist agents. Leave the area and go to Baru for glowing plankton or boats to Rosario archipelago. Old town. Watch out for street vendors selling trinkets and being too pushy.

A lot of great food options, best seafood in Colombia.
A lot of great food options, best seafood in Colombia.
Our favorites:
- La Cevicheria
- La Mulata
- Cafe del Mar ( bit pricey for what it is, but worth it for the sunset drinks )
- El baron ( great tapas in the middle of the square )
Town with a rich history and lots of important landmarks and sights to visit. Great colonial architecture, colorful streets and lively people.
It is very touristic, with a lot of locals non stop trying to sell/push tours/restaurants and goods on the street, felt a bit like India sometimes. There are great street performances of dance groups and artists happening, which i enjoyed a lot though!

Great place to visit as long as you don't mind being harrassed non stop by street vendors trying to sell you hats, cigars, sunscreen, tchotchkes and other things, having menus constantly thrown in your face or being honked at by multiple cab drivers if you stop on a sidewalk for even a second wanting to know if you need a ride. Everything worth seeing in Cartagena can be seen in one day, two tops if you want to see some places out side the city

Beautiful boutique hotel in Getsemani and only a short walk from the old city. Getsemani is an absolute must visit - we almost enjoyed it more than the old city! The hotel had a lovely rooftop pool and bar and the rooms were fantastic.
The staff were all incredible - particularly Jhonatan on the front desk who went above and beyond to help us, with nothing being too much trouble. He helped us with local recommendations and organising trips to the islands - we can’t thank him enough for making our stay so special!
Lovely hotel in front of Castillo de San Felipe. Room was very spacious, comfortable bed and nice bathroom with walk-in shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is at walking distance from the city (apr. 500m.) but you get around very easy with a taxi. Shopping "Mall Plaza" is just on the backside of the hotel (5Om) where taxi's drive by all the time. Breakfast was simple, but good.
Great hotel in the heart of old city. The staff were exceptional: accommodated late check in when our flight was delayed, looked after our bags on check out day whilst we had lunch and arranged taxi to airport. The room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Situated within a residential complex it had 24 hour security. Electric kettle and cups were provided. Superb and affordable.
Fantastic staff. Great breakfast with many options including food from this specific region. Easy access to the huge beach, that by Colombian law is public. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Access to the city is easy since the hotel have taxis available for the short trip. The menu at the pool was good too with good cocktails and delicious fruit juices. We really liked this hotel.
Celebrity treatment! world-class service. The staff was amazing it made us feel like home. Very spacious suite and detailed oriented interior decor. Walking distance of all the areas in the vibrant old city. From location to facility to welcoming staff with big smiles in their faces whenever they see you! Its a hidden gem, which is the best boutique hotel from Cartagena no doubt.
Great hotel in a convenient location close to (walking distance) the old city of Cartagena and Getsemani neighborhood. Very spatious and comfortable rooms with good A/C (you'll need it in Cartagena). Fantastic breakfast every day. Didn't use the rooftop bar (it was too hot while we were here) but it looked really nice and had great views looking East and South.
This hotel is beautifully located within a historic complex of buildings at the very heart of Cartagena's old city. The court yard and the swimming pool area are very nice oases of silence. The buffet breakfast is spectacular, great choice and quality of foods, with just the service being a little slow. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
A beautiful modern hotel with big, well appointed rooms and great air conditioning which you absolutely need! The staff were incredible, friendly and super helpful. The location is really excellent, central but also in a slightly quieter part than some of the noisier areas in the Old City. The hotel restaurant is truly fantastic.
very nice colonial style hotel in Cartagena`s old city. The location was great, You could walk to all the sights and it is perfect for shopping, also lots of great restaurants in the area. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection of dishes. The staff was very nice and attentive.
The hotel is located in the middle of old town Cartagena where you can find variety of shops, local food stalls and almost everything you can guess in Colombia. This is not a luxury hotel, however the service (front desk, proximity of laundry) is good and the people are smiley and nice.
Nice and quiet hotel outside of the busy streets of Getsemani and the old city, just a 10 minute walk to Getsemani. Had a few problems with the paying, but sorted it with Richard's help. All in all good stay also because of the kitchen we could use. And Richard was a great host
Perfect location in the historic center. Close to great restaurants, plazas. Wonderful friendly staff. The hotel had lots of character in the common areas, but lacked character in the room. Best breakfast we had in Colombia. Small roof top pool with a bar for drinks.
We had stayed inside the city walls for 3 nights and chose to stay in this hotel for 2 nights sun & R&R before moving on from Colombia. The hotel is nice and has a really good restaurant. We had breakfast once and lunch twice - each meal was delicious.
The hotel is in an excellent location for enjoying the night life of Getsemani and for visiting the old city and fortress. The facility is secure with buzz in entrance and exit. The air conditioning was very good. Nice hot shower.
An amazingly luxurious experience in a beautiful hotel. Staff were exceptional, particularly Felix and his team on the rooftop. Room was super comfortable. Excellent location right in the middle of the old city.
Everything about the property was amazing.
The location is perfect, you’re close to really everything you need, food, party, old city and getsemani which is a must visit neighborhood while you’re in Cartagena.
Very nice hotel in the center of Cartagena. Two small swimming pools but very appreciated. The breakfast is really good and the waiter is great. We loved this place
