I would not give the experience a 10 because of 2 main reasons: - Operations staff and the cleanliness - I had to request multiple times from the cleaners to a) provide additional blanket, b) clean the washroom. Only after requesting multiple times were any of this executed upon which was quite disappointing. In fact, the last 2 days, I kept requesting to clean the washroom but it was never done. Would strongly urge the hotel management to look into this - Internet/WiFi connection is quite slow which does not sit well for a hotel that gives such a good impression otherwise.

"Slavyanka" mostly exceeded my expectations. I booked this hotel as a last-minute reservation as an earlier hotel that I had booked was horrible experience once I actually visited it. I was apprehensive about Slavyanka but the reception and the grandeur was very appealing. + Comfortable location + Reception staff is welcoming and helpful + Room itself was fairly good in size, clean and with no noise

They have to train their staff no matter the guests race, sex..they don't know how to talk politely, some of them are rude

The building is old, though renovated from inside. I did not like the fact that I myself had to lift my suitcase up the stairs to the entrance of the hotel. Nobody helped me with the luggage.

I loved the quietness of the place, location was perfect, the hotel was clean, the stuff was friendly, the room was comfortable, the quality of food was quit good, though variety wasn't that great. Overall, it was a good value for money.

I had a big issue with the terrible quality of the mattress in a newly renovated room. It had no support at all and was like a hammock. Instead of checking the mattress and offering another room, The staff at the reception kept saying “all our mattresses are like that” and NO senior staff or manager were available from Friday until Monday( as I was told)!! I lost a lot of time and nerves while proving my point until an accidentally passing technical manager heard me at the reception, went to the room, confirmed my complain and requested a change of room. I hope the management will follow up on both issues, the mattresses quality and the lack of senior staff, in order to keep the quality of stays and to keep guests returning.

I stay often here and as always the location, the room and the value were great!

very old, no one help you with luggage. and 50 steps you have to carry your luggage. Restoran smells very bad, bathroom dirty and didn’t take shower. location not good, you have to walk long time from metro station.

My standard room had broken windows in it which made it extremely cold, so they kindly upgraded my room. Yet still it was very Soviet-looking (not in a good way). It’s more like I stayed at my Soveit babushka’s flat at Taganka rather than in a hotel. The furniture is very worn-out. No slippers. No robes. No DND signs in my room. No thermostats. The floor was making too much noise — it’s literally creaking with every step you make on the 6th floor. No laundry in the hotel whatsoever. Security checks if returning to hotel at night (otherwise, anybody can enter the hotel bypassing the reception, no keys needed).

The price. The size of the hotel — it’s quite big and old which is cool.
