A great location in the middle of the Cederberg area. Mount Ceder also offers guided tours on their private property. they are really worth it! We did the olive tour and the 4hrs guided walk. The last one was truly amazing. The braai pack you can order is a great choice! The view from the restaurant terras is unforgettable. The cottage (Peperboom) was big and very well equipped with 2 private terraces. The swimming area in the river is very nice and wel kept (green lawns, benches, clothing hangers,...) and is in walking distance of the cottage.

What an amazingly beautiful place, so isolated and peaceful. We watched the Springboks beat the all Blacks in the comfort of this beautiful home. We had a barbecue fire lit and drank some great South African wine while we did do. What a magical evening. I would highly recommend this place. The owners Linda and Johan have the best of everything - furniture, bed linen etc

She was honest, open and communicated from the start. Very friendly hosts!!!! The location is perfect, easily accessible to and from all main attractions and roads in Rondebosch/Newlands/Claremont area, as well as the Airport.

Offering panoramic views of the Cederburg Mountain Range, Simbavati Cederberg Ridge is located 7 km from Clanwilliam. Each suite has a private patio with mountain views. Spectacular property with incredibly friendly staff. We were greeted warmly by Craig and Marcus who, along with the staff went out of their way daily to make sure we were looked after with our specific itinerary. We are lucky to travel regularly around the world over the past decade, and this is easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

One of the most memorable stays of our trip on the Garden route. The rooms are spacious and clean, and adjoin the sleeping shed for the beautiful elephants. We saw them lie down to sleep and woke up at sunrise to see them in the shed with better light (quite dark and hard to see at night). Everything is clean and very well run. The animals are well looked after. Feeding them was an unforgettable experience. Thank you. Nice breakfast (slightly oily) and good gift shop. Highly recommend.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and barbecue facilities, The Log Cabin Lodge is located on Louisvale Wine Estate, 8 km from central Stellenbosch. Free WiFi is provided. FANTASTIC! All over my travels, this was the best place I have ever stayed at. Apart from availability of all necessary facilities themselves, like private kitchenette with the fridge, A/C, large comfortable beds, parking, pool, hot tube, free-service bar, etc. the Log Cabin Lodge proposes an amazing environment and atmosphere. Rooms and outdoor area have a beautiful view on a calm garden and vineyards, so you can enjoy it while being in a hot tub (amazing one!) or pool, or while having a drink at the terrasse. The surroundings are calm, and you feel relaxed here. I liked a lot the living/lounge area - it was super cozy, especially during the evening when the fireplace is on. Those who constructed this area have a nice taste and thought about the comfort of guests. I also had diner there - it was delicious, and nice garden view with the sunset and then night sky make it even more plesant. It's also worth noting that the furniture, floor, walls, equipment - all is fresh and does not require renovation, unlike in many other tourist accomodations I saw in South Africa. May be it's not the very first factor tourists pay attention to, but still, it does add value to the overall stay experience. I regret that I spent few time there. If I could only change my travel plan, I would do it in a way to spend more nights here instead of staying near Cape Town. So it was a perfect experience at the Log Cabin Lodge, and I do recommend you to stay here.
