FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

HAVE A MAP WITH YOU! Assume the weather will be worse than you imagined Metra is really good mass transit. But make sure you know how to work the system before you board a bus. Unless you're looking to spend $20+ or eat garbage - don't have breakfast downtown. Don't miss the Frank Lloyd Wright home in Hyde Park! His Ukrainian cathedral is a must too! Chicago deepdish pizza? I love Chicago this is my second time visiting this year, I am thinking about visiting a third time with my children. So many places to visit as well as restaurants to explore. We mostly walked in Chicago unless it was further than 20 minute walk we took an Uber. My favorite restaurants are Mariscos El Puerto 2, El Che is an amazing steakhouse, Canton Regio was one of the BEST restaurants we tried on our last day there. We enjoyed drink at La Bodega Tacos & Tequila. The staff there was "AMAZING"

We went for a simple getaway, to shop and eat.

We went for a simple getaway, to shop and eat. We are big on food, so we visited many local restaurants for the authentic Chicago experience. There are great coffee places and pastry shops. Overall rating of the food would be 9/10. It is also a good idea to go watch a game of any of the great Chicago teams. We went for a Bulls game, however, I bet visiting Wrigley Field must have great atmosphere too! Chicago is a walkable city, we walked around 20 kilometers every day, and it didn't even feel like it. However, there is a very nice subway/train net, which gets you pretty much anywhere for very cheap.

The hotel is located in a very convenient area of Downtown Chicago in North River. The hotel is located across the street from a Subway station providing easy access to the main areas of Downtown and other locations such as Wrigley Field and Soldier Field. The room we had was very spacious and generally quiet (for a downtown hotel). Housekeeping were excellent providing us with fresh towels every day and offered to change the bedding on more than one occasion. Staff in general were friendly friendly and helpful

We chose the hotel mainly because of the location and price. The location is very close to the center - everything is very close (restaurants, bars, breakfast, parking, park with Gloud Gate, etc ..)The price for a hotel in downtown Chicago was also very good. Thanks to a good price range, we did not have high expectations from the hotel. But the equipment was tidy and we were satisfied with it.

This hotel was in a great location! It was also a great price for downtown Chicago. Numerous restaurants and stores were within walking distance. I also liked that you had to use your keycard on the elevator to get to higher floors. The hotel did not offer self park, but there were parking garages nearby. The staff was very friendly at check in and checking out.

Great location in Downtown Chicago. Decent price on the room rate. We stayed in the King standard room which we felt was nice, liked the interior, comfortable bed, and loved the shower with the spray hose option and a huge shower head on the ceiling above you, a spa feel. I’d stay here again, it was quiet inside the hotel but busy and lots to do downtown.
