Wonderful small town on the sea coast, with great restaurants, beautiful views, nice shops, lots of history. I ate along the sea walk several times, got a local private tour, took a bus to the nearest town Portoroz. Would highly recommend seeing Piran!

Right up there with the Amalfi Coast and Cinque Terra in the gorgeous seaside village sweepstakes. Breathtaking views everywhere you look. Pretty main square with beautiful 18th and 19th century architecture. Crystal clear water for swimming, although there are no sand beaches, but piers and jetties. Lots of nice restaurants with sea / sunset views

Piran is a very compact town so it is easy to walk but take care with the uneven cobblestones. There is a wide range of eating places. The cement area in front of the sea was a surprise: there is no sand. The free shuttle was handy for getting luggage from the very expensive parking garage (the only option for visitors). Our hostess, Bruna, was a memorable part of the visit.

Piran is an idyllic peninsula of Slovenia, it's a very small village and therefore; I wish I'd stayed less than the 3 nights I did. The nearby towns are bigger and more touristy and have little to offer in terms of culture.
I'd highly recommend using Piran for its ferries, the walking tour that includes food tasting and the salt spa/pans that are able to be reached by bus. But, also relaxing in the sun by the sea and enjoying the delicious restaurants.

We really enjoyed Piran because we experienced it solely on foot. We left our car at our apartment on the hilltop. You can enter Piran by car through a policed barrier or park in the public car parks on the hilltop or cliffside but they looked pricey and very busy - cars queueing.
Piran has atmosphere, lots of charm and character from the fine square with its clock tower boasting views over to Italy (modelled on the tower in San Marco Venezia) The maze of tiny streets with peeling paint in ice cream colours, laundry flying from balconies, geraniums pouring from window boxes, a fine harbour, places to swim and some fabulous restaurants made this town a delight to explore. It feels very southern mediterranean with its crystal clear blue green waters, gelato cafes selling pistachio and peach ice cream. Everyone was friendly when I tried to order in Slovenian. Locals wish you Good Day
We felt Slovenia was a top destination with so many contrasts from bear-watching to climbing in the Julian Alps, kayaking over Lake Cerknica and white-water rafting on the Soca River - what a country!

Piran is beautiful and definitely worth a visit however there are a lot of hills so be prepared. I also would recommend coming by car, as we had planned to take the bus. It arrived full and then we had to spend €150 on a taxi as there wasn't another bus that day. Even if you have a ticket you are not guaranteed a seat which is a terrible system.
Where should I even start? Modern, super nice apartment in the Harbor area of Piran. Everything is in walking distance. Parking is also not far away. The apartment is equipped with everything you might need and the best is Karmen- the host, which is the most friendly person you can imagine. She was so friendly and helpful, gave us Easter presents at the beginning and let us stay longer, to enjoy the most of the day.
We can just say that Slovenian people are so welcoming and nice….and Karmen is the perfect example. Thank you!!
We enjoyed our stay here, right in the heart of Piran old town. 2 mins walk and you’re at the sea! Lots of restaurants and shops around. Room was clean and comfortable. Air con was great for the heat - we had some issues with the remote and the air con wouldn’t turn off but the hosts were very helpful to fix. We took other reviewer’s advice to skip trying to grab the parking pass from the hosts as it can be tricky to juggle since Piran is a no-car city. We parked at Garage Arze during our stay for 15euro/day.
wonderful location, just 10 minute walk into the old town with lots of restaurants. 5 minute walk from old city walls. 10/15 minute walk to the main beach.
One of the only properties we found in Piran with onsite parking.
The views from the property are beautiful, it’s wonderful to sit out for breakfast and enjoy the sea views. Breakfast is great, lots of food.
Wonderful host, very friendly and welcoming.
Comfy bed and spacious room.
We absolutely loved our stay here! so glad we found this place!!
The unit itself was beautiful and modern. Very clean and in an amazing location. As with all Old Towns there is no parking within the old town, but you are able to enter to drop off your luggage, collect the parking pass. You then have to drive to the parking structure which is underground and secure. Only about a 5-10 min walk from the unit. It is a lot of stairs so I don't recommend leaving anything in the car you may need. Beautiful walk though.
Very good location, near Tartini square, right next to a small beach (50 metres) and the only main road in Piran. Absolutely friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. If you arrive by car, you have 15 minutes to bring you luggages to the apartment and then you can leave your car in a large parking lot (Garage Fornace) a few hundred meters from the accommodation for 10 euros per day (instead of 24 euros).
Perfectly equipped apartments in the centre of Piran, just a few steps from the beach, lighthouse and restaurants overlooking the sea. Even sun loungers and parasols are provided. The owner organises transfers to and from the apartment and parking - that's a big deal in Piran. But most of all, the owners are super nice people and it's a pleasure to spend time with them. Highly recommended.
Amazing and completely renewed luxury apartment with jacuzzi and kitchen in the centre of Piran close to the Tartini Square.
Warm welcome by the owner, who lended us his parking car and so avoiding us to pay two expensive days and the parking outside of Piran. Very appreciated as well the welcome Prosecco, water and fruits on the table.
A very comfortable hotel that is conveniently located near everything to see in the old town center of Piran. Although there is a lot of activity and tourists close by, it was peaceful and serene. The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. An excellent breakfast was included in the cost of the room.
The appartement is exploited by a lovely family. They make you feel like home and help out wherever they can. Exemplary was the parking arrangement they could make which is very difficult in Piran. They also helped out with carrying the luggage and offerted us a drink on their terras at the arrival.
Clean, great location, free parking in garage nearby included. Small apartments but cute and had everything you need. The host event gave small bottle of champagne for free, free bottled water, coffee, tea and milk. Also host gave really good suggestions for good restaurants in Piran.
The apartment is really big, and was perfect for our needs! The host was very kind and helpful. It has a good location, next to the beach, and near a lot of restaurants. You can park outside the city, but there is a bus line which goes almost to the apartment from the parking lot.
Nice stay in the center of Piran for a great price. We had a private room with shared shower and bathroom. Location is very nice, if you get here by car, keep in mind that Piran (as far as I know) only has paid parking for at least 15 euros a day.
Great breakfast right at the sea shore, incredible view, best location, parking is a bit complicated but the hosts help you navigate the first time and then it's smooth, also the host lent us their parking card so it was cheaper and more flexible
The apartament has beautiful sea views from all rooms, great for watching the sunset. The lady who welcomed us was very friendly 😊
It is located 3min walk from the shittle bus stop, right in front of Hotel Piran. Flat is fully equipped.
The stuff is very friendly, a free parking in the garage, free bus to the site of the hotel. The hotel is in a very heart of the town. The room was clean and comfortable. Near the hotel there is a lot of restaurants with fine sea food.
Location is very good and easy reachable, hotel has arranged parking facility, which is extreme plus in the town such as Piran. Breakfast is tiny, but made per guests preferences.
The staff are very nice and helpfull. Very good breakfast. They drove us back to parking garage for free. The view to the sea from our room was breathtaking.
