There are several options to visit. The castle, the lake. So many opprtunities to ski sports, walk in the forests. Waterfall, beautiful lakes not only the Bled one. Our suite was very comfortable with a very nice sitting area and views over the gardens. It's possible to have complimentary use of the rowing boats on the lake. We had a short row, but it was a bit choppy when we were there. Overall, it was worth staying just to be in such a beautiful setting and a grand old building, but the service and extras fell below the standard you would expect for a hotel of this price.

The building itself is located in a village close to Lake Bled (an easy bike, slightly longer walk) that is quiet and beautiful. The facility is new and meticulously clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and generous, clearly made with care and love by the family that runs House Troha. We used the sauna and it was a delight on a snowy January night.
