Ardnavaha House is an elegant eighteen century country house with large gardens and a lake and overlooks a beautiful wooded valley, near the town of Clonakilty in West Cork. The stone cottages in the courtyard of the main house have recently been renovated to a very high standard and are being rented as self-contained cottages. Each of these beautiful lofted cottages come with a modern fully equipped kitchen, open plan sitting room, large ensuite bedroom with king-sized bed, flat screen tv's, WIFI etc. Guests can avail of the large outdoor heated (seasonal) swimming pool or laze by the pool in loungers, there is a hot tub and sauna (seasonal) available. Guests can also stroll through the beautiful garden (ideal for picnics) and have access to the full sized tennis court. The gated estate is very private.

Clonakilty town which a great selection of restaurants and traditional irish pubs (many of which have live music in the evenings) is a short drive away. The town itself is a popular tourist destination and the streets are bustling during the summer. There are many beautiful beaches nearby including the world renowned Inchydoney beach which is very popular during the summer, and also the Long Strand and the Warren beaches. The beautiful little fishing village of Courtmacsherry is a short drive away where there are breathtaking walks through the woods and along the coastline. For golf enthusiasts, there is a nearby golf course in Lisselane and the world famous Old Head of Kinsale golf course is about a 30 min drive. Hiking, biking, horse riding, fishing and water sports are all available locally and the hosts will be happy to provide any details you require. The local area has a very rich history - one of the leaders of irish independence, General Michael Collins, was born nearby and the family of Henry Ford (founder of the Ford motor company) emigrated from the area in the 1840's.
