The location of this apartment was spot on!

Right in the heart of the city centre, walking distance to the train station and all the shops, bars and restaurants.
Sitting on the tiny balcony in the morning for coffee or evening for a glass of wine was very nice. So many great restaurants are in the area and the standard of food is very good.
Over the past 5 years we have seen so many changes to the City, Every time we visit, there are new restaurants and coffee shops, renovated walkways, and gardens. The architecture of the buildings is beautiful although there are now so many newly built modern flats being built too.
What I love the most about Debrecen is the quietness. The tram system is so efficient there are less cars & pollution. I always feel healthier when I'm here.
Visit the zoo & Lake Tisza.
I would definitely recommend this city and the apartment we stayed in.

Debrecen seems like a nice chilled place to be.
Debrecen seems like a nice chilled place to be. People are polite and respectful. there are things to do and visit. I would definitely recommend visiting the Deri Museum and Reformed College where lovely staff took me around to show and tell, a special thank you to Zsuzsanna, who accompanied me throughout my visit as i was the only visitor then and i loved it. We also visited Aquaticum and Thermal Baths, and had a ride on the steam train, lovingly called Zsuzsi Vonat by locals.
If you get tired of being there, venture off to Eger, amazing historical city 2.5hrs away from Debrecen by bus, or for more thermal baths head to Hajduszoboszlo, 30 min away by bus. For a nature fix, go to the Hortobagy National Park which is around 1 hour away by bust but worth the visit.
Debrecen may seem a little too quite, i don't wanna say boring, at times, but it grows on you and wins you over with its provincial charm.

We chose Debrecen because it was at a perfect distance from Nyíregyháza Zoo (1 hour away) and Hajdúszoboszló Spa (30 minutes away), so we didn't really had time to visit the city, but we stayed at a hotel near the historical center of the city and what we've seen was nice. Also my wife and my daughter bought a lot of clothes easier and cheaper than Pandorf.
The location is great, close to the great forest park, aquapark, zoo and playgrounds. Easy walk with kids to all the places they are interested in. Tram stop to the city center is across the street, which is very convenient.
Beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was very good, the pool was nice and clean.
As our flight was at 6 am, we missed the last breakfast but got the breakfast box from hotel (2 sandwiches, apple, banana, 2 kinds of yogurts, water and juice). The stuff was nice and helpfu. We enjoyed our stay
Spacious minimalist style apartment with 4 meters high ceilings that further enhance the feeling of spaciousness.
The building is a high quality building from the 1960's and the great location (apartment faces a large green and quiet green area) suggests it was used by party officials.
Even the original heating is still intact and operating after all these years...
Best of all the pillow is a normative one (not the large square ones commonly found in other rental apartments in Debrecen).
Debrecen is a lovely place to visit, shop and relax, we have done this many times over the years.
We have always been meaning to try the hotel, we were not disappointed. Free on site parking at rear of hotel.
Just a few minuets walk to the main shopping Forums, plenty of restaurants nearby. Some great late night street bars close by. Hotel furnishing are very ornate, nice to see. We will be staying there on our next visit shortly.
excellent place to stay if you are in Debrecen. clean, well maintained, very spacious room. price is also good. The owner is a very kind gentleman, he is an artist. If you start a conversation with him, he will show you all his artworks, and tell you some history about it. He is very helpful. I’ll definitely return to this place again
We really enjoyed the apartment, it was perfect for our weekend trip to the Aquapark in Debrecen. It was equipped with everything we needed - especially the common area that was very spacious and comfortable. A plus: many parking spaces nearby.
Superb thermal baths, a lot of temperature choices (20, 28, 33, 35, 38 and 40 °Celsius), exterior thermal pool, large and warm room, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and diner, direct acces to Aquaticum Mediterranean Experience.
The apartment is amazing. It is clean, it has everything what I needed for my stay. There was a fantastic fragrance every time when I opened the front door. It is at a great location in Debrecen. Shops, public transport are so close. 10/10
It was a very clean apartment, spacious and equiped with everything you need. The owner very friendly and the location is perfect,by foot 5 minutes away from city center and 15 minutes away from Aquaticum and Zoo.
