Nice and serene place by the lake. A couple of restaurants by the lake, which was nice. People there don't speak english, but most know german. Traffic by the main road was pretty high, which made crossing quite a challange. Most of the shore is taken by private properties.

I guess it depends on what you expect.
I guess it depends on what you expect. If you expect some kind of summer "sea" vacation, this is not the place. Way too windy, cold water, the "beach" is very small and the facilities very old and communistic.
The town is very local, well priced, but nothing outstanding. I guess for biking it could be nice around the lake.
In general I would not come back.

Lovely beachside small town on The Balaton.
Lovely beachside small town on The Balaton. A few lovely beaches (grass) access to the lake and a paying beach can be found in the centre of town. Balatonlelle has a ferry port. There are many restaurants with lovely food to be found. A few minutes walk or drive and there are supermarkets like Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, PennyMarket, and Spar. The is a State Circus in the Summer months. The Town square has a fountain and seats to relax. Just of of the town square is the stage and entertainment area with small wooden huts serving beer, wine and soft drinks. Also a few stalls line the road selling bags, jewelry, soap and souvenirs. There are also a few permanent shops in town also selling the same type of items. There is a train station in town also a bus stand both of which I believe do local and inter-city services.
Everything was perfect. The Bistro has very tasty food and drinks at the Lake. The waiters were super, super nice, cool and we ended up in a random birthday party with some retro music which was really great fun:) Waiters even offered palinka free of charge and created a really great atmosphere to all, even though we were kind of outsiders, so a BIG thank you to them at Bistro but also everyone at Lelle Hotel. You will stay in our hearts and if we ever go back to Balatonlelle, we will choose for this hotel again.
We are coming back always to this panzio in Balatonlelle, since we know by now the owner, who has been Always so kind to us for years now, we always receive a bottle of welcome wine, which the region is famous for, BB wine.☀️its not the most modern building, however the rooms are spacious we have a balcony, LAKE Balaton is closeby a 5-8 min walk and close to the Center, restaurants around aswell.
BL Garden is part of a more extensive hotel/apartment system. Actually, it's the nicest part of it. There's a small deli, a nice garden with a pool, it's great to pass time there. Also, the breakfast is great.
(Note that BL Garden is right next to the rails, so if you don't find train noise relaxing, it might not be a good choice for you.)
This is our 2nd time staying there. It is locatedbright at Marina and Public beach. The rooms are clean and spacious with kitchenettes. They have a great breakfast and everyone is really nice. Close to center of Balatonlelle, so just a few minutes walk to restaurants, ice cream, and souvenir shops. Balatonlelle is a great town along Balaton.
The apartment is great, 2 big bedrooms, living room + small kitchen together, nice bathroom with washing machine.
The fridge is big, with big freezer. Beds are comfortable. Big TV in the living room.
Walking distance to a supermarket, and Napfény strand (recently renovated).
We booked the accommodation for one night as a stopover. The accommodation is a bit away from the spectacle, which we liked. Pets are welcome - we travel with a small dog. In the accommodation you have everything you need for a stay in Balatonlelle. We were satisfied.
Just perfect apartment for family holidays. There are gates which leads straight to lake beach. Hotel has wonderful playroom for kids, outside is also has tons of activities. Shared kitchen is perfect plenty equipped and kept clean
