A lot to be seen and experienced around.
A lot to be seen and experienced around. Huge variety of wine and great food. Be sure to check out the top wineries including Gere Atilla, Bock, Jammertal, Sauska, Maul Zsolt, Tiffan winery....etc. Its worth visiting during the weekend the place is much more lively. The one thing I would avoid is dining at Polgár Pincészet, their wines were great but their kitchen is simply not worth operating, horribly reprised and the quality was poor. Be sure to check out Polgár pincészet but do not eat there.

We love the wine cellars, especially Maczkó Robert.
We love the wine cellars, especially Maczkó Robert. The service is great, from the owners as well as the people working there (including the sons of the owner, real cute, well-educated boys). They also have a shop with local specialties.
Furthermore, the region is perfect for biking, beautiful landscapes (f.i. Palkonya).
Villany also has great restaurants, our favourite? SAUSKA 48

It is a beautiful place.
It is a beautiful place. Rolling hills with vineyards everywhere one looks. One can just walk or hike, there are bicycle routes or just sit back, watch the sunset and sample beautiful wines. Best töltött káposzta in Blum :) and a lovely accommodation at Vojtek with excellent wine tasting too.

Villány is a wine drinkers paradise.
Villány is a wine drinkers paradise. We stayed for two days and the knowledge and enthusiasm the staff in all the establishments was amazing. If you like red wine in particular this is the place to visit. Extremely high quality restaurants are everywhere and our experience in mandula and bock restaurant were of high quality food presented beautifully by attentive and knowledgeable staff.

The most organized village for the red wine enthusiasts.
The most organized village for the red wine enthusiasts. Easy walk from cellar to cellar where the hundreds of varieties offered with tasty chasers, restaurants with fine gourmet food offers to suit most pockets. Villany is the place for those who would like to taste good quality wines without the serious lecture type introduction, yet enjoy the ambiance of the profession. The cellars will arrange "guided tastings" so the place caters for both ends of visitors.
This property and the hosts are absolutely amazing. When I arrived with my mother we were welcomed with the warm pheasant soup and the bottle of their red wine, which was a truly beautiful gesture. The hosts were very friendly and their dog made friends with us as soon as we arrived. The ambiance of the property is magical with a lot of greenery, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the center of Villany is a 2-3 minute walk. I will definitely return to this property and I strongly recommend it to everyone visiting Villany!
Good facilities, well maintained and great balcony for enjoying a wine in the sunshine. The host was helpful and pointed us to wineries/restaurants to visit (Bock - has a cellar tour at 2 and 5pm daily, and the tasting and restaurant was really great; Sauska 48 - note kitchen closed Mon/Tue, beautiful spot, but the stink bugs do ruin the experience a little late Sept/Oct). Off street parking. We really enjoyed our visit!!
This lovely B&B exceeded expectations. While owner did not speak English. She was very kind and had someone there to translate for us. There are a small number of rooms. Also, a jacuzzi and saunas. Place immaculately clean. Breakfast was very good. Would return without hesitation.
villany is a great wine region for reds. Very nice wineries and nice food.
Lovely little hotel with an amazing Hungarian style. We loved how unique and incredible the wooden furniture was. The breakfast options were huge and made to order - the meat plate was amazing. Great wine terrace in the back, so beautiful that we decided to have dinner there one night which was delicious.
Great location, the owner very friendly & helpful.
He even organised a wine tasting session of his own wine in his wine cellar! excellent ;)
Breakfast is great & they can cater for any food allergies if you have.
The Panzio is literally 5min walking distance from the historical wine cellars street!
The single apartment had an exceptional view of the vineyard. It was a quiet and relaxed setting. We could walk everywhere from the hotel including other wineries, tasting rooms and a nearby walking trail. Wine and light snacks as well as breakfast were available. The price was very affordable.
The house is reachable by foot to all the wine bars and the Centre of Villány. You can park in front of the house and it’s big enough for 4 people. It has 2 comfortable bedrooms and a open living and dining room. The owner was very helpful and was always reachable when we had questions.
My friends stayed here on my recommendation for the franc and franc festival. They were so happy with everything. They loved the hospitality and the breakfast was plentiful. Perfect location next to Bock and Makatinszky.
We liked the style of the room (it looked like an room in an old castle). The location is in the centre of Villány, which made the commute to the different wine cellars very easy (everything is walking distance).
Beautiful surroundings and accommodation, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent hotel and breakfast.
Worth tasting the wines too as they are excellent.
I can recommend it to everyone.
Clean and calm hotel. It's very silent and if you want to take a rest then it is for you.
The hotel has nice swimming pool and wide variety of food for breakfest or tasty wines.
Everything was great. Beautiful house and rooms, very nice host. Close to the main street in Villany. I can recommend this place. There is a free parking and very nice breakfast
