When I was a bit younger I preferred my accommodation to be near the strip in Benidorm. However nowadays I actually prefer to be based in Cala Finestrat for it's quietness and laid back atmosphere. Unfortunately it rained for my 3 day trip.
Unfortunately it rained for my 3 day trip. So missed the Tuesday market. But there is a great covered in shopping centre a short bus ride away. A great choice of restaurants. Close enough to Benidorm for a visit. But much quieter.AlisonUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
We have visited Cala de Finestrat often over the years.
We have visited Cala de Finestrat often over the years. It has a lovely beach and is good for swimming. It is a small but vibrant bay and is within walking distance of Benidorm’s large Poniente beach.

Everything about Finestrat is good from the bars and restaurants to the beautiful beach and friendly locals and ex pats.Buses to Benidorm cheap and frequent. Lots of choice ion Finestrat for dining ranging from Indian Chinese Italien and traditional Spanish.

Lovely hotel in perfect location .
Lovely hotel in perfect location . Nice , light, clean room with front sea view . Fridge and hairdryer in the room and excellent shower. Very friendly helpful staff and good breakfast. Wish we'd have stayed longer, will be back

Cala de Finestrat is a lovely little beach area where you will find everything you need for a holiday away. Restaurants, grocery stores, bars, sandy beach and hiking. On the other side of Cala de Finestrat is Benidorm which tends to be much more tourist filled. So you have the best of both worlds in Cala de Finestrat.
