We actually spent 4 days in Bogotá.
We actually spent 4 days in Bogotá. I’m not a city person but I quickly fell in love with it. There was just so much to see. We took the trip up Monserrat. A must do! The “free” walking tours were great and added enormously to our understanding of Colombia. My fav was the graffiti and street art tour. It was interesting to learn how graffiti artists turn into street artists and the politics behind it. My husband’s fav was the war and politics walk. I must say even I was enthralled by it and I'm not one for history and political stuff. It is now a must do when I tell my friends about our trip.

I love Bogota, I travel there 2-3 times a year and will retire there soon. The people are friendly and it is as safe as any extremely large city can be. Be aware, be cautious and enjoy everything Colombia has to offer.

Bogota is a great place.
Bogota is a great place. Much relaxter than what you expect from all the 'maffia' reviews on the internet. It's a big city full of live and there are certainly neighbourhoods where you want to stay away. They are located in the outskirts. On the street you need to actively guard your stuff against pick pockets (as in every other big city).
We spent 13 days in the city, but should have stayed at least 21 days. We competed in a sport-championship, visited several musea and the famous monastery. We ate in small local restaurants, but also took a lot of local food 'on the hand' (bought from local frituria's.
The graffiti and street art (performance, music, circus) is amazing. Like nothing you have seen before. Some experiences were really enchanting.

Bogotá is a great city to visit and eat great food for a good price. People are courteous and friendly. Shopping is a bit expensive. Always be on your toes though as there are hustlers such as taxi drivers preying on tourists. Lots of people ask for handouts, I believe these are foreigners on their way north. Always respectful though.
I had a wonderful stay at El Dorado Hotel in Bogota, Colombia! The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. The rooms were spacious with ample storage and surfaces, making it convenient to organize belongings. The hotel's location was perfect, providing a safe environment and easy access to great restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Plus, the value for the price was exceptional.
The colonial interior looks like a museum. 2-floor apartments within an impressive condominium with several decorated hallways, living rooms ad patio richly decorated in old times. Very pleasant and helpful employees. In the middle of Bogotá's historic centre: the Botero Museum and central Bolivar Square are within 100 metres. At night it is relatively calm. The breakfast experience at the bakery next door brings you in contact with the normal Colombian able to choose from 4 meal.s
The location is great, right next to Zona G, in the vicinity of various supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. Our room was spacious with a large and very comfortable bed. The hotel staff was super friendly, they even helped us registering our Colombian SIM cards and assisted us in organizing a private daytrip to Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral. I'd also mention that we visited Bogotá after the 3rd wave of Covid and the hotel's measures were well kept both by the staff and other guests.
Very close to El Dorado airport, less than a half hour drive. Also nearby an atm, several small restaurants, and other mom and pop stores. Apartments were very nice for the price, they provided airport transportation for a great price, they were very hospitable, and flexible with check in and check out times. I’ve rented an apartment here 4 different times when I’ve visited Bogota and I will rent it again if I revisit Colombia
Super clean and brand new hotel. 20 minutes in taxi from the airport.
It is located in a secure work zone so has lots of security. There's shops and restaurants in the zone and an ATM.
Excellent value for money and great hotel to chill in before flight out of Bogota.
Kettle in the room with coffees and sugars.
Cable TV and Netflix access.
Decent breakfast
7 min walk to a shopping mall.
I arrived.. and to my horror I HAD LOST MY PASSPORT.
The hotel staff, started to telephone the airport.. the taxi company, and a coffee shop.
After one hour the hotel staff tracked down and recovered my lost passport
BEAT THAT !!! for customer service..
The breakfast is fantastic
The location is perfect
The rooms are quite
It has a restaurant - terrace with a panoramic view over Bogota.
this is truly an AMAZING place the best one we went to in all Colombia
everything is perfect : the room, the house, the location, the comfy and warm bed, the breakfast, the people living there
Jaime is truly the best guy ever he will make you feel like home and make sure you visit all the worthy places in bogota
I recommend this place 100% you will not find anything as good
Exceptional charming boutique hotel in convenient part of Bogota. Friendly and attentive staff. The roof patio is not to be missed. Breakfast is included.
We had a red eye flight home and front desk allowed a late check out to accommodate us since room was not booked. Things will go smoother if you know some Spanish but that is generally true all over Colombia.
Staff was excellent: Katarin, Don Jose, and Don Manuel were super helpful. Also have to mention bulldog mascot of the hotel, Tokio! Cute dog. Great location in Usaquen, safe and upscale. Close to Carulla market, vegan cafe, Betaclimb rock-climbing gym, and Transmilenio. We will absolutely return here at the close of our vacation through Colombia.
Everything,,,, except that the lady at the front desk was kind of dry, and not warm and welcoming as most Colombians are.
I guess my face reminded her of a bad experience,,,,, but it was after i inquire about the manager about some questions that she kind of softened up and became a bit friendly.
Other than that the hotel was very good.
One of favorite hotel stay in Colombia. The staff are always friendly and respectful. The alway go above and beyond to take good care of guest. A very secure hotel, great food and breakfast, huge fitness center, restaurants and shopping and the Mall is walking distance from the hotel. The hotel provide free shuttle to from the airport.
Well located hotel in a cozy neighborhood near Parque 93. Very good cleaning services. Nice staff. My room was nice, clean and well equipped. It had an expresso machine, a working table and a refrigerator. Breakfast is OK. Neighborhood has lots of nice places to go out, have a beer or a colombian coffee.
Super comfy beds....From a Canadian these are nice updated rooms, great shuttle to airport which I used a few times going from Bogota to Leticia and back....XOX right outside if you need anything plus a mini store in the hotel...Clean, great A/C, Wifi works decent and nice staff....What more do you need?
A very special place in the middle of Bogota. Just 3 min walk to the Museo Del Oro!
Great rooms, big with a lot of space. Its kind of quite good place in the middle of La Candelaria.
Also all the people very kindly. I ordered also true the hotel the taxi from and to the airport and everything was fine
Excellent hotel close to the airport. Nice rooms, very good and for once english speaking staff, great service. I was very pleased to stay for a night. You could even consider it for a sightseeing stay in Bogota since the Transmillenio is not far away and the taxis to downtown are not very expensive.
The Hotel and staff was very nice. Location from downtown a little far, but it's easy to get around by uber.
Great value for the money. My wife found the mattress slightly uncomfortable. Anyhow we had a great stay and enjoyed Colombia and we recommend this place. Thank you
Cool hostel in a Bogota. Really nice double room which was more like a hotel than a hostel!
Food, drinks and atmosphere were great in the hostel and they were also very helpful in booking a taxi for a 5am trip to the airport. Would definitely recommend!
The hotel was clean, modern and really close to the airport. We used it both on our way into and out of Bogota. We got breakfast the first time, which was lovely. The shuttle worked awesome.
