Offering a garden and garden view, Old Parochial House is set in Dundalk, 8 km from Louth County Museum and 10 km from Proleek Dolmen. The hosts were so lovely and kind, and kept in touch with me as well as waiting up to let me in when my flight was delayed. The breakfast wasn't made for you, but the fridge was stocked with sausages and bacon and eggs and bread and milk and everything you could want to make a snack or meal. I saved money by staying here and renting a car rather than staying in downtown Dundalk where my work was. The bathroom is shared but there are multiple ones so you never wait, and both are kept very clean. There's lots of hot water. I especially enjoyed building a fire and playing piano one blustery afternoon.

He was great in extending our stay. Always a smile. He was very helpful with some auto repair issures we had. Anna the housekeeper was awesome and patient with our several room changes. Great people and great stay.
