This day trip from Ljubljana will give you the chance to explore a historical island, a vast cave system and a clifftop castle.
Starting in the town of Bled, you’ll sail on a traditional pletna boat to Bled Island, where you’ll discover historical landmarks like the medieval Bled Castle and the 16th-century Assumption of Maria Church. After returning to the mainland, you’ll head to Postojna Cave. You’ll be able to view the cave’s interior during an underground train ride.
You’ll round off the tour at the Renaissance-era Predjama Castle, which is located inside a cave mouth above a near-vertical cliff.
